Privacy Policy
EG College Recruiting takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it is stored, and the rights granted to you by Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
Who is responsible
EG College Recruiting, Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. Telephone: +1 819-668-3669.
Under section 3.1 of the Act, the person with the highest authority within the company is responsible for the protection of personal information. You may reach them at the address shown on the Contact page.
What we collect
We collect only what you send us yourself through the site’s forms:
- Contact form: your name, email, phone number, sport and message.
- JUCO-to-NCAA form: your name, email, current JUCO college, sport and message.
The site carries no analytics tool, no advertising pixel and no social media widget. We build no profile of you and make no automated decisions about you.
Why we collect it
Solely to answer your enquiry and, if you become a client, to support you through the college recruitment process. We do not use this information for any other purpose, and we neither sell nor trade it.
Cookies
The site sets a single cookie, pll_language, which remembers the language you chose so the right version of each page is served. It is strictly necessary for the site to work, it cannot identify you, and it expires after one year.
Typefaces are hosted on our own server: visiting the site triggers no request to any third-party service, and therefore no transmission of your IP address to a third party.
Where your information is stored
The site is hosted on a server located in the United States (Virginia). Information you send through the forms is therefore stored there, which constitutes a communication outside Quebec within the meaning of section 17 of the Act. Notification emails pass through a mail relay whose servers are located in the European Union.
These jurisdictions provide a legal framework for the protection of personal information, and our suppliers are bound by contractual confidentiality and security commitments.
How long we keep it
Enquiries received through the forms are kept for as long as they are useful to your file, and at most three years after our last exchange, after which they are destroyed. If you become a client, information related to the engagement is kept for the periods applicable to our professional and tax obligations.
Your rights
At any time you may:
- access the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
- request its deletion where keeping it is no longer justified;
- withdraw your consent, as easily as you gave it;
- since 22 September 2024, receive the information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format, or ask that it be communicated to a third party (right to portability, section 27).
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address shown on the Contact page. We respond within thirty days. If our response does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Confidentiality incidents
In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we notify the individuals concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information, and we maintain the register required by the Act.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with its update date. Adding an analytics or advertising tool would require this policy to be revised before that tool goes live.
