Three people who have walked the path
Émile Gélinas
Born in Trois-Rivières, Québec, Émile received an athletic scholarship at the age of 17 to play hockey at King’s-Edgehill School in Nova Scotia, leaving home for the first time to continue his development as a student-athlete. After his time at King’s-Edgehill, he discovered how difficult it can be for young athletes to find opportunities to play at the collegiate level without proper guidance and support. This experience inspired him to pursue a career focused on helping athletes navigate their own pathways and find the right opportunities.
Émile went on to study Sports Management at Bishop’s University before moving to the United Kingdom, where he completed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at Queen’s University Belfast and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Sports Law at Sheffield Hallam University. He later earned the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Certificate from Creighton University, developing expertise in protecting the name, image, and personal brand of college athletes.
Following his studies, Émile worked at an immigration law firm and at a private international boarding school in Ontario, gaining firsthand experience with student-athletes, admissions, and the recruiting process.
With a background in sports law and as a member of the International Sport Lawyers Association, Émile founded EG College Recruiting with a clear mission: to help Canadian athletes navigate the U.S. junior college pathway, an often overlooked but highly effective route in college athletics. Having studied abroad himself, he understands the challenges of adapting to a new academic and athletic environment and supports student-athletes throughout that transition.
Matt Ragovin
Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Matt Ragovin has spent more than a decade coaching golf and recruiting student-athletes at the NCAA Division I and Division III levels.
Matt’s resume includes coaching at the Division I Hofstra University, the University at Albany, Division III Washington and Lee University, and St. Lawrence University. Matt played a vital role in recruiting and developing players, contributing to national success, conference championships, and multiple NCAA program records across both divisions.
At EG College Recruiting, Matt helps Canadian athletes navigate the JUCO-to-NCAA pathway by identifying the right opportunities and guiding them through the recruiting process, eligibility requirements, and transition to NCAA programs. As a former NCAA coach, he understands what college coaches look for in prospective athletes and brings valuable experience in building relationships, communicating with programs, and helping athletes position themselves for success at the next level.
Noémye Letendre
Born in Drummondville, Québec, Noémye played baseball for 15 years before making the transition to softball in the U.S. She attended Lake Land College in Illinois, where she earned a Certificate in Communication while competing in JUCO Division I softball, reaching the JUCO National World Series twice during her time there.
After Lake Land, Noémye transferred to Morehead State University, an NCAA Division I program, where she is currently pursuing a Business degree and heading into her fourth season of collegiate softball.
At EG College Recruiting, Noémye helps athletes and families navigate the path from Canada to JUCO and ultimately to NCAA athletics. Having gone through that process herself, she understands the journey firsthand and brings her own experience to every family she works with.
